Teenage Health Websites Limited, is the brainchild of Drs Ann McPherson and Aidan Macfarlane, writers of the original Diary of a Teenage Health Freak series. The worldwide success of the diaries identified a demand for cringe-free health information specific to teenagers. The books sold over half a million copies in the UK and have been translated into 22 languages and an UK TV series.
The sites won the prestigious BUPA Communication Award in November 2001 and have attracted over 1.75 million visitors since their launch.

To produce relevant, electronic health information in a format that enables young people to take effective responsibility for their health related actions within an appropriate moral framework. To take full advantage of the IT available within schools and many people’s homes as a resource for providing relevant health information. To provide a database that can also be used by parents, teachers and health professionals.
